bpost In-Car Delivery

Following the success of the in-home delivery pilot, several people at bpost asked us to look into in-car delivery as a possible service option. We decided to test an isolated use case: delivering to cars parked while people are at work. The location is more predictable, and it simplified our operational journey. But was there actually a problem to solve in workplace delivery? Was this an actual service improvement, or just a gimmick?

Employee interviews, digging into the desirability of at-work delivery

We conducted a rapid test using a static app prototype and conducting fake deliveries in the parking lot of Cronos, a large IT company with one of the largest fleets in Belgium. While we didn’t validate in-car delivery as a feasible business model in the near future, we did validate some problems to solve with workplace delivery. The experiment resulted in a pivot and a pitch for a new product and service venture.
